Chleb means bread in Polish and grapa is a local word for a mountain, therefore the name of this blog Chleb pod grapą translates to Bread under the mountain.
I live in a valley within the Beskids, admiring the mountains through my kitchen window. I enjoy cooking and reading about cuisine, but most of all I love baking. Five years ago I’ve made my sourdough starter and it begun: baking breads, buns and other goods using rye and old varieties of wheat. This blog features mostly my own recipes and I’ll be gradually translating them into English.
